The latest new footage arrives via a brief new teaser; it's mostly made up of recycled clips from previews we've seen before, but it does contain a few new flashes worth dissecting.
The footage begins with Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) telling the people of Winterfell, "We must fight together now, or we'll die." In the background, we can see both Sansa (Sophie Turner) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) seated at the head table of the Great Hall, so we can probably infer that Daenerys' arrival in the North might not be met with just the awe of seeing dragons crest the castle bounds.
Additionally, there's a very quick glimpse of Beric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer) battling it up with his fire sword, so if there was any lingering doubt that he survived the walkers' melee on the Wall -- even though the presence of Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) in another teaser seemed to suggest Beric would've survived as well -- this should clear that up. Although, he should probably tread lightly during this fight since his priest is no longer around to revive him.
We'll find out what it all means soon enough when Game of Thrones Season 8 premieres on HBO on Sunday, April 14 at 9/8c.
