A very good boy will make his Game of Thrones return in Season 8. Jon Snow's (Kit Harington) beloved direwolf Ghost will show up again after sitting out the entirety of Season 7, The Huffington Post reports.

"Oh, you'll see him again. He has a fair amount of screen time in Season 8," visual effects supervisor Joe Bauer said. "He does show up."

Ghost spent Season 7 back at Winterfell with instructions to take care of Sansa (Sophie Turner), according to a deleted scene. But before that, the albino direwolf had been Jon's trusty traveling companion, and has in fact outlived almost everyone else Jon Snow has crossed paths with. Of the six direwolf pups the Stark kids adopted in the pilot, only Ghost and Arya's (Maisie Williams) direwolf Nymeria are still alive. Nymeria made a brief appearance in Season 7 when Arya encountered her wolf pack in the woods, but by they time they reunited Nymeria had returned to a feral state and no longer belonged to Arya.

Do you think Ghost is going to survive to the end of the show? I don't.

Game of Thrones' eighth and final season is coming to HBO in 2019.
