Game of Thrones: Here's Who Ended Up on the Iron Throne -- Kind Of?

[Warning: The following contains spoilers for the series finale episode of Game of Thrones.]

The question we've all been asking ourselves since Game of Thrones first premiered finally has an answer! So who ended up on the Iron Throne in the series finale?

It was predictably not "Mad Queen" Daenerys' (Emilia Clarke) or "Stop Giving Me Titles" Jon Snow (Kit Harington), especially after the former was murdered by the latter. Instead, Drogon burnt the Iron Throne, melting it down to sludge.

It was left up to the surviving lords and ladies of Westeros to decide who should rule the Kingdom, and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) put forward a surprisingly suitable candidate to wear the crown: In the end, they picked Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright). We've always considered Bran to be a solid option for the final inhabitant of the Iron Throne, given he's got lifetimes of experience thanks to his Three-Eyed Raven powers, but it was still surprising to see him actually end up ruling Westeros. The twist? The throne won't be handed down from generation to generation in a royal house. Instead, at Tyrion's suggestion, the lords and ladies of Westeros will choose their future monarchs.

All hail Bran the Broken, First of His Name, King of the Andals and the First Men, Lord of the Six Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm.
