We so did not see that one coming
(Warning: The following contains spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War)
You know that feeling when you were 100 percent not expecting to see a major Game of Thrones actor turn up in the biggest movie of the year? Yeah, about a million people who went and saw Avengers: Infinity War on opening weekend can relate.
News broke earlier this year that Peter Dinklage had snagged a role in Marvel's upcoming blockbuster, but even still, quite a few Game of Thrones fans walked out of the theater and immediately tweeted their shock at seeing Tyrion Lannister show up in scene with Thor (Chris Hemsworth).
Ironically enough, Dinklage played Eitri, king of the Dwarves of Nidavellir, who just so happened to be twice Thor's size -- an amusing change up for fans who were used to seeing Tyrion mocked for his short stature on Game of Thrones.
There's no telling if we'll be seeing Dinklage in the Avengers 4, seeing as Eitri fulfilled his role and created a weapon that could kill Thanos (Josh Brolin). We wouldn't say no to another Game of Thrones "crossover" though, since Dinklage made a hilarious addition to team!
