FX: Tracy Morgan's Comedy Will Move Forward Following His Recovery

FX reaffirmed its commitment to Tracy Morgan, who remains in critical conditionafter a six-vehicle accident Saturday, saying that his previously announced FXX sitcom "will be waiting for him" when the actor recovers.

"The only thing we are concerned with is the health and recovery of Tracy Morgan and the victims of this tragic accident," the network said in a statement releasedTuesday. "We will support Tracy and his family in every way possible throughout his recovery. At the point when Tracy has recovered and decides that he is ready to go back to work, his show will be waiting for him. Right now our thoughts and prayers remain with Tracy, the other victims of the accident, and their families."

Morgan was returning home from a stand-up performance in Delaware when his limo bus was involved in a wreck with two tractor-trailers on the New Jersey Turnpike. Fellow comedian James McNail was killed in the collision and seven others were injured. Morgan sustained a broken leg, broken femur, broken nose and several broken limbs. He is expected to remain in the hospital for several weeks.

In April, FXX ordered 10 episodes for an untitled sitcom starring Morgan from It's Always Sunny's Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, Glen Howerton and Luvh Rakhe. Production was originally scheduled to begin in August with an expected series debut in January.
