A Full House Spin-Off Is in the Works! See Which Original Cast May Sign On

The Tanner family is coming back to your TV!

That's the rumor, at least. Netflix is finalizing an order for 13 episodes of an all-new Full House series, starring Candace Cameron Bure reprising her role as D.J. and Andrea Barber as neighbor Kimmy Gibler, reports TVLine. Back in August, we reported that the show's stars were mulling a return to television. And now it seems that it's very, very close to becoming a reality.

'90s shows that need a reboot

The family patriarchs -- Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, and John Stamos -- will probably appear as guest stars. No word on whether D.J.'s younger sisters (played by Jodie Sweetin and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) will return to the show.

Stamos is also on board as a producer. The show's creator, Jeff Franklin, will act as showrunner of the reboot and executive-produce along with Thomas Miller and Robert Boyett, who executive-produced the original series.

Full House aired for eight seasons on ABC from 1987 to 1995. It was canceled when it became too expensive to produce, even after the actors volunteered to take a pay cut. Since then, they've reunited for yogurt commercials and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, and have repeatedly hinted they'd like to be one big happy Tanner family on screen again.
