Fox Unveils Summer Dates for So You Think You Can Dance, Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?

It wouldn't be summer without a new season of So You Think You Can Dance!

Season 12 of the hit reality competition show, which will pit accomplished street and stage dancers against each other, will premiere on Monday, June 1 at 8/7c, Fox announced Monday. This season marks the first for new judges Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo.

Dance's return will be preceded by the Season 6 premiere of MasterChef on Wednesday, May 20 at 8/7c and the long-awaited return of Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?on Tuesday, May 26 at 8/7c. Jeff Foxworthy will once again host.

Fox is also adding a new reality competition to its summer lineup is Boom!, which premieres Thursday, June 25 at 8/7c. Hosted by Tom Papa, the quiz show challenges teams of three players to defuse a series of ticking slime-bombs by cutting the wires related to the correct answer only. If a team gets the answer right, they win money. If they get it wrong, they and part of the audience could end up soaked in anything from guacamole to mashed potatoes.

The four shows join the previously announced event series Wayward Pines, which premieres Thursday, May 14 at 9/8c.
