Fox Renews Sleepy Hollow Despite Nicole Beharie's Exit

Fox has ordered a fourth season of Sleepy Hollow, despite the show's female lead Nicole Beharie being killed off.

Tom Mison, Lyndie Greenwood, Lance Gross and Jessica Camacho will all reprise their roles, but most viewers have credited the chemistry between Mison's Ichabod Crane and Beharie's Abbie Mills as the key to the show's success.

Beharie reportedly had been actively trying to exit the series long before she died in the third season finale. And ahead of the third season, Mison successfully negotiated a reduced workload. If that negotiation still stands, it will be particularly interesting to see how Sleepy finds a new balance among the stars in its reshuffled cast.
