Fox Might Reboot The Greatest American Hero

Believe it or not... Fox has given a put pilot commitment to The Greatest American Hero, which was created by legendary producer Stephen J. Cannell, Deadline reports. 21 Jump Street directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller will try their hand at rebooting the 1981 cult classic, serving as executive producers alongside Cannell's daughter, Tawnia McKiernan, and the pilot's writer Rodney Rothman.

The hourlong dramedy will follow the adventures of inner-city teacher Isaac after he discovers a superhero suit that gives him superhuman powers. But after losing the instructions, Isaac is forced to learn to master its abilities through trial and error, all the while butting heads with a government handler and questioning the moral obligations of possessing the suit.
