Fox has ordered a pilot for a Minority Report television sequel.

Fall TV: Where have we seen these shows before?

Fox has given the project a put pilot commitment, which involves a financial fine for the network if the pilot doesn't air. According toThe Hollywood Reporter, the rebooted project will pick up 10 years after the dissolution of Precrime, a special police department that arrested criminals based on visions of the future. When one of the Precogs struggles to live a normal life due to the continuation of these visions, he meets a female detective haunted by her past and begins to find a new purpose for his abilities.

Godzilla's Max Borenstein will write the pilot and executive-produce, alongside Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank. Steven Spielberg produced the original 2002 film, which starred Tom Cruise and Colin Farrell.
