Starring Rainn Wilson, Backstrom was based on a series of Swedish novels about an eccentric, cranky detective who notices details that others don't.

The show averaged 4 million viewers over 13 episodes, and the finale, which aired on April 30, only drew 2.8 million.

The Following told the story of former FBI Agent Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) and his dealings with serial killer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy).
