Felicity: Heading for a Wedding!

The WB's Felicity may have found the perfect way to deal with its title character's unpopularly short hairdon't: Hide it under a bridal veil. Executive producer J.J. Abrams confirms that a wedding will take place during the show's season finale, and it may or may not involve Felicity and the object of her obsession, Ben. "I can tell you, however, that Ben and Felicity's romance comes together in a surprising way," Abrams teases TV Guide Online.

One thing is certain: The criminally underrated show ? which, after a tough go of it on Sundays, moves to Wednesdays at 9 pm/ET starting this week ? is pulling out all the stops in the season's remaining eight episodes in a bid to boost ratings and avoid ? ouch! ? expulsion. Other highlights: Sean finally tells Julie that he loves her; a secret about Meghan is revealed that, Abrams says, "really humanizes" her; and Felicity runs against Noel's nerdy sidekick, Richard, for Student Council president.

Whether Felicity gets elected to another term by the WB depends in large part on how it performs in its new time slot. But fans ? many of whom, Abrams believes, are in denial over the series's possible demise ? shouldn't wait for the polls to close at A.C. Nielsen & Co.

"I sent an e-mail to a couple of Felicity web sites to let them know that the reality is we're not guaranteed [for renewal]," says Abrams, who recommends that supporters write to their local WB affiliates. "There's no assurance that because a show is well made that it's going to remain on the lineup. Look at Freaks and Geeks."
