Fear the Walking Dead showed off the trailer for the second half of Season 2 at San Diego Comic Con on Friday.

The first half of Season 2 ended May 22nd with a conflagration, and the crew of the Abigail scattered. After taking refuge at Celia's (Marlene Forte) compound in Mexico -- where nihilistic Nick (Frank Dillane) bonded with their hostess -- things went bad when Strand (Colman Domingo) mercy-killed his infected partner Thomas (Dougray Scott).

Madison (Kim Dickens) locked Celia in the cellar with her zombified family members, and then Daniel Salazar (Rubén Blades) burned the compound to the ground in the midst of his manic break from reality. After escaping the fire, Madison, Strand, Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Ofelia (Mercedes Mason) were making their way back out to sea, while Nick broke with his family and went off on his own. Meanwhile, Travis (Cliff Curtis) was off tracking down his increasingly psychopathic son Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie).

Catch up on all the latest news from Comic-Con

The trailer tees up some of the lingering questions going into the second half of the season -- What happened with Salazar? How will Nick survive on his own? Who are Nick's menacing new friends? Can Strand ever be trusted?

We'll find out when the second half of Fear picks up Sunday, August 21st at 9/8c, on AMC.
