The FBI released photos Thursday of two people of interest in the deadly Boston Marathon bombings.
In a press conference Thursday afternoon, FBI Special Agent in Charge Richard Deslauriers explained that they were able to identify two suspects, dubbed Suspect No. 1 and Suspect No. 2, through various photos, videos and tips they have received from the public since Monday's bombings, which claimed the lives of three people and injured nearly 200 others.
After detailed analysis, the FBI is now hoping to get help from the public to identify the suspects, both seen in the photos wearing hats, one white cap and one black cap, who appeared to be walking together down the street towards the finish line before the bombings. Suspect No. 2 in the white cap is believed to have been seen planting the device shortly before bombings.
"At this time, these are people of interest to the FBI," Deslauriers said, encouraging anyone with information to contact the FBI at 1-800-Call-FBI or BostonMarathonTips.FBI.Gov. "We consider them to be armed and extremely dangerous. No one should approach them. No one should attempt to apprehend them except law enforcement... If you see these men, contact law enforcement."
