When it comes to ABC's fall plans, to paraphrase Tom Jones, "It's not Unusuals."
The quirky cop dramedy, which premiered this spring and starred such familiar faces as Amber Tamblyn (Joan of Arcadia) and Harold Perrineau (Lost), will not be back for a second shift after wrapping its current run.
"Friends, just heard The Unusuals will not be back for a second season," series creator Noah Hawley shared Sunday via his Twitter account. "Thanks for all your amazing support. Last [four] episodes start May 27."
ABC gave The Unusuals a fair shot, even running double episodes one week, on Tuesday and Wednesday night. Still, it's numbers hovered around the 5 million viewer mark.

This weekend, ABC renewed Castle for a second season. There has been no word on Cupid, though its numbers have been as middling as The Unusuals.
