The story follows Miles (Hall), an outspoken atheist trying to sell his podcast The Millennial Prophet to Sirius. But when he receives a random Facebook friend request by someone claiming to be God, he embarks on a quest to uncover the person behind the mysterious account.

Fall TV Popularity Contest: Which new shows are your favorites?

The search puts him in the path of Cara (Violett Beane), a journalist struggling to find her next big story. As they track down the account owner with help from Miles' supremely likable hacker friend Rakesh (Suraj Sharma), it becomes apparent that they were meant to meet and help each other. With the assistance of social media, these three Good Samaritans will embark on a journey to help strangers and maybe find out who the God account belongs to.
