Exclusive Video: It's Backstrom vs. Bones!

Fox's latest cop drama Backstrom has quite a bit in common with the network's stalwart procedural Bones.

For starters, they were both created by Hart Hanson and were both adapted from popular book series. (They will also be paired together on Thursday nights when Bones returns in March). But even though Bones' Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Backstrom's Everett Backstrom (Rainn Wilson) both solve crimes, the two sleuths couldn't be more different.

"She is a character who you would call very, very rational," Hanson says in the exclusive behind-the-scenes video below, which also features some hilarious new footage from Bones' return. "What Backstrom has to say does not come from the outer edge of the brain. He just [speaks] from his gut."

Adds Wilson: "He's a lizard-monkey detective."
