Grey's Anatomy and Station 19 executive producer Krista Vernoff may be extremely busy running two shows, but she's potentially adding a third to her plate. And this one comes with a big legacy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Vernoff is executive-producing a pilot for ABC with Erin Brockovich, the real-life legal consultant who inspired the 2000 Academy Award-winning film starring Julia Roberts.

The project, titled Rebel, is centered on Annie "Rebel" Rebelsky, a legal consultant who had a major motion picture made about her first big case 20 years before the series begins. The potential show is inspired by Brockovich's real life after the award-winning film was released. THR reports that Rebel is a "funny, messy, brilliant and fearless real-life superhero who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves."

Right now, the pilot has a put-commitment from ABC, which means the network still has to pay up to Vernoff and Brockovich if they don't order it to series for the next TV season. The pilot order lines up with ABC boss Karey Burke's vision to bring a dominant female viewership back to the the network. However, Vernoff and her team will have a massive task in finding someone to fill Roberts' big heels.

TV Guide reached out to ABC confirmation but did not hear back at press time.
