Plus, his feelings on the show coming an end after 15 seasons
Supernaturalwill come to an end after the upcoming Season 15, and emotions are already starting to swell for everyone involved.
Following Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, and Alexander Calvert's touching appearance at the show's final Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this month, the show's creator has now spoken up about the series approaching its final stretch.
Eric Kripke hosted a Reddit AMA on Tuesday, and while the central subject of the day was his new Amazon series The Boys, he couldn't help but answer a few questions about Supernatural too. When asked how he feels about the series approaching its end, he admitted, "I'm a little bit emotional about it. It was comforting to always have that show there."

However, Kripke also said that it's been the show's off-screen impact, including the many philanthropic endeavors that have been spearheaded by the cast and fans, that will remain a true point of pride for him. "I'm so f---ing proud of the amount of good those actors and that fandom have put into the world," he said. "Proud of the show, sure, but way more proud of AKF, or GISH, or the million other things." (And, yes, he's also touched by all that racy fanfic that's come out of the fandom, too.)
Kripke then went on to reveal something Supernatural fans might not already know about the show, which is that Dean's prized Impala, Baby, almost had some special talents. "Here's a factoid," he wrote. "In the pilot, we explored adding James Bond style switches to the Impala dash -- to release oil, or salt. We might have even shot it. But then we realized that was stupid."
Supernatural returns for Season 15 on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 8/7c on The CW.
