For the second year in a row, RuPaul is an Emmy winner.

RuPaul's Drag Race took home the Outstanding Competition Program award, the Emmys' category that picks the best reality competition series, during Sunday's 71st annual Emmy Awards broadcast.

The series, which is headed into its 12th season, defeated previous winners like The Amazing Race and The Voice.

Hosted by RuPaul, Drag Race seeks to crown America's next drag superstar. Season 11 was won by Yvie Oddly.

"We are so proud of this show," RuPaul said during his acceptance speech, before putting out a call for viewers to register to vote.

Since its inception in 2003, the Emmys' reality competition award has gone to CBS' The Amazing Race 10 times and NBC's The Voice four times. The only other show besides Drag Race to win in the category is Top Chef, which won in 2010.
