From the humorous to the earnest, here's how it feels to get nominated for an Emmy

The 70th Primetime Emmy Awards nominations are the culmination of a life's work and the goal of just about every television actor's career. Or, if you're Allison Janney, just another day at the office.

But those who heard their name called this morning when the Emmy nominations were announced were filled with shock, gratitude and elation, and likely a mixture of all three. From the humorous to the earnest, we've collected the reactions of several of this year's nominees below.

American Crime Story's Darren Criss gave huge shout outs to his fellow nominees. Jonathan Van Ness from Queer Eye cried over his double nomination and Westworld's Jimmi Simpson considers this morning's news a great bonus to his already planned kayak adventure. Read more in the gallery.
