Elton John to Perform at Emmy Awards

Elton John will perform at the 65th Emmy Awards later this month. The performance will pay tribute to Liberace, the subject of the HBO biopicBehind the Candelabra, which is nominated for 15 awards.

Elton John will perform at the 65th Emmy Awards later this month. The performance will pay tribute to Liberace, the subject of the HBO biopicBehind the Candelabra, which is nominated for 15 awards.

Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, who star in the film as Liberace and his lover Scott Thorson, respectively, will also present at the awards ceremony on Sept. 22. Both are nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie.

It will be John's first time performing at the Emmys. His new album, The Diving Board, is set to be released on Sept. 24.

The Emmy Awards, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, will be broadcast live on CBS at 8 ET/5 PT on Sunday, Sept. 22. Are you looking forward to seeing John's performance?
