Dustin Diamond was found guilty of two misdemeanors stemming from a barroom brawl in which he stabbed a man on Christmas Day, The Associated Press reports.

The Saved by the Bellstar pleaded not guilty to the charges, but was convicted of disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon. He was cleared of a more serious felony charge of recklessly endangering public safety, but could still face up to nine months in prison based on the first misdemeanor, and up to 90 days based on the second.

Diamond, 38, testified that he drew a pocketknife in the incident in order to scare patrons who were antagonizing him and his girlfriend, Amanda Schutz, and never intended to stab anyone.
