Downton Abbey Renewed for Season 6

Looks like the Crawleys will be sticking around for at least one more year: Downton Abbey has been renewed for a sixth season, ITV announced Thursday.

Will Downton Abbey end after Season 6?

Season 5 of Downton Abbey concludes in the UK this Sunday, Nov. 9, and will premiere in the United States on PBS on Sunday, Jan. 4.

"We don't know yet what [creator Julian Fellowes] has planned, but we are looking forward to working with him, the fantastic cast and Carnival again and have no doubt series six will be unmissable," ITV Director of Drama Commissioning Steve November said in a statement.
