See Who ABC Family Cast as Jace in Its Mortal Instruments Adaptation

Vampire Academy star Dominic Sherwood has been cast in ABC Family's upcoming series Shadowhunters.

Sherwood will play Jace, a determined and expert Shadowhunter described as "narcissistic and lethally gorgeous." After his father is killed, Jace makes it his life's mission to seek revenge on the man responsible.

ABC Family orders drama based on The Mortal Instruments book series

The supernatural series follows 18-year-old Clary Fray, who learns that she is not who she thinks she is, but rather that she comes from a long line of Shadowhunters - human-angel hybrids who hunt demons. When her mother is kidnapped, Clary is thrown into the world of demon hunting with the mysterious Jace and her best friend Simon.

In the 2013 feature film, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, Jace was played by Jamie Campbell Bower opposite Lily Collins as Clary.
