Universal has abruptly shelved its upcoming Jim Carrey-Nicole Kidman romantic comedy Dog Years. No reason was given for the move, although Variety reports that Kidman's busy schedule was likely a factor. In the film — which was to start filming in March for a Christmas release — Carrey was to play a widower haunted by his dead wife (Kidman).
