Dish Network and Comcast reached a last-minute extension agreement Friday to keep E! and Style on the air, Deadline reports.
Both cable channels would have gone black in Dish subscriber homes at midnight if a deal was not reached, but the two companies will continue negotiations. The short-term agreement is "in hopes of reaching a long term solution," E! and Style said in a statement.
In October, Dish Network subscribers lost FX, National Geographic Channel and Fox's 19 regional sports networks for 28 days when the satellite provider was engaged in heated negotiations with Fox for a new carriage deal.
