Dina Lohan Arrested and Charged with DWI

Dina Lohan was arrested and charged with DWI Thursday night, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Lohan was pulled over at approximately 11 p.m. after the New York State Police noticed her going 77 mph in a 55-mph zone on the Northern State Parkway on Long Island, police said in a statement. Lohan appeared intoxicated and blew a .20 blood alcohol level, more than twice the legal limit of .08. She was arrested on charges of DWI and aggravated DWI.

Lohan was then taken to a station in Farmingdale for processing where she claimed to have suffered an injury during the arrest. An ambulance was called to evaluate Lohan, but no injuries were found and she recanted her claim, police said.

Lohan, 50, was issued traffic tickets for two DWI offenses and speeding before being released to a sober third party. She is due in court on Sept. 24 at 9 a.m.

Lohan's arrest comes less than two months after her daughter Lindsay was released from a three-month, court-mandated stint in rehab, stemming from a plea deal in which she pleaded no contest to reckless driving and lying to the police.
