After 13 years together — including six years of marriage — Private Practice's Taye Diggs and Tony winner Idina Menzel are expecting their first baby, due later this year.
Menzel told Us last year that starting a family was "definitely in the plans," adding that her husband has wanted kids since "the day I met him."
"He wouldn't talk about marriage," she said, "but he'd talk about me having his children. He grew up with four younger brothers and sisters, so he's very comfortable around children."
Diggs and Menzel first met in 1996, as cast members of the original Broadway staging of Rent. Last week, Menzel started a multi-episode guest-star turn on ABC's Private Practice, where Diggs plays Dr. Sam Bennet.
