Dexter Renewed For Sixth Season
Showtime's Dexter has been renewed for a sixth season, the network announced Monday. Check out the rest of today's news "Dexter is the best suspense drama on television," David Nevins, the premium cable network's entertainment head, said in a statement. "To grow its audience so significantly in its fifth season is an enormous accomplishment by this amazing cast and crew. This is the easiest decision I've made since I got to Showtime."

Dexter — which stars Michael C. Hall as a blood-spatter analyst by day, serial killer by night — has won four Emmys and two Golden Globes as well as a Peabody award.
The Season 5 finale airs Sunday at 9/8c. Production on Season 6 will begin in the spring.
