Denis Leary Has Been Mistaken for Almost Every Other Famous Person

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll creator and star Denis Leary occupies a funny celebrity space. Everyone recognizes Denis Leary as a famous person, but not everyone is clear on why they recognize him. Some people remember him from Footloose, while others are fans of his songs like "Summer of '69." Still others know him as the Green Goblin from Spider-Man.

But Denis Leary is neither Kevin Bacon nor Bryan Adams nor Willem Dafoe (he was in a different Spider-Man movie). He created Rescue Me and was in about 400 terrible movies. He's only 2 degrees away from Kevin Bacon, but he's not Kevin Bacon.

And for the record, Elaine Hendrix isn't Charlize Theron and Elizabeth Gillies isn't Lindsay Lohan, either.
