How Many People Tuned In for David Letterman's Last Late Show?

Nearly 14 million people tuned in to see David Letterman's final night hosting The Late Show.

The audience of 13.76 million (and a 3.1 rating among adults 18 to 49) gave the show its highest ratings since February 1994 (when it was immediately preceded by coverage of the Winter Olympics).

Letterman's sendoff included tributes from Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush, as well as a performance from the Foo Fighters.

The final broadcast also gave an added boost to The Late Late Show with James Cordon, which drew a series-best 4 million viewers and a 1.1 rating among adults 18 to 49.
