David Hasselhoff has joined a group of protesters in Berlin who are demonstrating against having a portion of the Berlin Wall moved to make room for a path leading to luxury housing, the UK's Daily Mail reports.

"It's like tearing down an Indian burial ground," Hasselhoff told the Mail Saturday, when he joined the protesters and addressed the crowd. "It's a no-brainer."

Only two large sections of the wall are still standing and they serve as memorials, the Daily Mail reports. A real estate developer wants to move a .75-mile long section known as the "East Side Gallery," which features the work of artists, in order to clear room for a path that will provide access to luxury housing.

"This last piece of the wall is really sacred," Hasselhoff said. "It's about people and it's about hearts that were broken, hearts that were torn apart and lives that were lost. That's what we're talking about today, not a piece of real estate."

Do you agree with the protesters, or do you think the wall should be moved?
