Danica Patrick was forced to leave the Nationwide race Saturday at Daytona after her car suffered from ignition failure, according to Yahoo!

After starting strong, Patrick's car lost power in lap 30 of 120, forcing her to pull her car directly into the garage rather than trying to fix it on pit road, effectively ending her bid in the race.

Frightening Daytona crash rocks end of Nationwide race

"It just died," she said of her car. "A good lesson that if there was a potential fix at some point, you know you just always go down pit lane and get in your pit box and just do everything possible to fix it."

What time does the Daytona 500 start?

Still, it might have been a blessing in disguise. A multicar pileup at the end of the race sent one driver and 15 fans to the hospital.

Patrick will race in Sunday's Daytona 500, where she's a top qualifier.
