What do you get when you combine elements of Dancing with the Stars and The Biggest Loser? A whole lot of bodies shaking and rattling on Oxygen's upcoming series Dance Your Ass Off.

The new series, which was announced during Oxygen's upfront presentations on Wednesday in New York, follows overweight contestants who compete to lose weight by literally dancing their asses off.

Marissa Jaret Winokur, best known for her Tony Award-winning performance in Hairspray, hosts the show, which is set to premiere this summer. The actress, who admits to being a "Biggest Loser junkie," finds this reality competition is different from other weight-loss shows.

"[Those other shows] are more like boot camps. This isn't like boot camp. This is people finding their sexuality and embracing life in a different way. They're finding their femininity or masculinity," said Winokur. "They dance to the scale — that's how it's different than Biggest Loser. It's not like a walk of shame to the scale."

Each contestant is paired with a nutritionist and professional dancer who trains their partner for a weekly stage performance. Three judges score the dance and that number is combined with the amount of weight lost during the week.

"People love dancing shows and to watch people perform. I always said that when I was on Dancing with the Stars, if I had to get on a scale after, I could never have done it," said Winokur. "It's really impressive."

Will you tune in to see who dances their asses off?
