Julie Plec's highly anticipated virus event series Containmentfinally has a premiere date at the CW. The series will take over iZombie's Tuesday time slot starting April 19, with the zombie dramedy wrapping up its second season with back-to-back episodes on April 12. The news may seem disheartening for iZombie fans who are still waiting for Season 3 news, but replacing zombies with a virus show, with solid lead-in from The Flash, makes the most sense for the network's packed schedule.
Tuesdays aren't the only night getting a shakeup in April. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend ends its first season on April 18, making room for Reign to take over its pre-Jane the Virgin slot on April 25. If the move proves successful and Reign gets picked up for Season 4, it will become the network's second show to survive a Friday night stint. (Supernatural rebounded from Fridays to Tuesdays in 2012.) Fridays will continue to be held down by The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.
