ESPN has benched Curt Schilling after he posted an offensive tweet about Muslims. The former Boston Red Sox player, who has been assisting in coverage of the Little League World Series, tweeted the meme below that compares Muslims to Nazis on Tuesday morning.

Naturally, ESPN reacted quickly, removing Schilling from his seat and releasing a statement about the decision.

"Curt's tweet was completely unacceptable, and in no way represents our company's perspective. We made that point very strongly to Curt and have removed him from his current Little League assignment pending further consideration," the statement reads.

Schilling has since removed the offensive tweet and has owned up to his mistake, responding and apologizing to disappointed fans saying that the suspension is "100% my fault."

What do you think of Schilling's error? Was ESPN right to suspend him?
