Criminal Minds Mega Buzz: Hotch Is Out — But Prentiss Is Back!

On Friday, ABC Studios announced that Gibson has been fired from Criminal Mindsfollowing an on-set altercation with a producer. There's no word yet on how Hotch will be written out of the show, but fans probably won't feel his absence for too long... because Episode 3 will mark Paget Brewster's first episode back as a recurring guest star.

CBS originally announced a two-episode suspension for Gibson, and TVGuide.com reported that Hotch was to be be MIA starting in Episode 3 after he's assigned a TDY (temporary duty) elsewhere.

With Hotch out, Prentiss returns to offer her BAU pals a helping hand in catching the remaining unsubs who broke out of prison at the end of Season 11. Yes, "remaining," which means they've caught some of the 13 already.
