Craig Strickland Found Dead After Going Missing for Seven Days
Our thoughts are with Craig Strickland and Chase Morland's families and friends
Country singer Craig Strickland was found dead in Oklahoma on Monday, a week after being declared missing when Winter Storm Goliath hit while he was out on a hunting trip.
The Backroad Anthem lead singer was 29.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed to E! that Strickland's body was recovered. Strickland and his friend Chase Morland went out duck hunting last weekend despite the impending storm. "In case we don't come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma. #IntoTheStorm," Morland tweeted.
He was tragically prescient, as their boat was found capsized last Monday morning and Morland's body was recovered that afternoon. Strickland's dog was found alive.
