Nashville's Connie Britton: Rayna and Deacon Will Be Thrown Together a Lot
Connie Britton is on Team Deacon. As Nashville's fan-favorite couple Rayna (Britton) and Deacon (Charles Esten) was on the brink of rekindling their tumultuous relationship, the revelation of Deacon's paternity, the resurfacing of his drinking problem and a near-fatal car crash dashed all those hopes in one fell swoop. But since Deacon is the father of Rayna's daughter Maddie (Lennon Stella), Britton says she's happy to see that they'll always be in each other's lives.

As Nashville's fan-favorite couple Rayna (Britton) and Deacon (Charles Esten) was on the brink of rekindling their tumultuous relationship, the revelation of Deacon's paternity, the resurfacing of his drinking problem and a near-fatal car crash dashed all those hopes in one fell swoop. But since Deacon is the father of Rayna's daughter Maddie (Lennon Stella), Britton says she's happy to see that they'll always be in each other's lives.
"I'm always a big Rayna and Deacon fan, so anytime they get to be together I'm happy about it," Britton told us in our video interview from the show's Nashville set. "I think it'll be interesting this season to see the different ways their lives intertwine because after the accident they both realized, 'OK, better not to try to spend too much time together,' and yet they're thrown together a lot."
