Umm, what does this mean for 9-1-1?
Bravo is getting a major heavy hitter for its new true crime anthology series!
Deadline reports that Connie Britton has officially signed on to headline Dirty John, an anthology series based on the articles and true crime podcast from Christopher Goffard, a reporter for the Los Angeles Times. The first season of this true crime series will tell the story of "how a romance with the charismatic John Meehan spiraled into secrets, denial and manipulation."
Unlike other pilot casting news lately, you can be sure you'll actually get to watch this series since Bravo gave it a two season order earlier this year when the network picked up the series. If Dirty John launches to the same success as Britton's last anthology series (American Horror Story: Murder House), then it may be around for a good, long while.
Britton will also executive produce Dirty John, but there's no telling whether this series' shooting schedule will cause any conflict with her new Fox drama, 9-1-1. Here's hoping she can juggle both series since we'd hate to lose first responder Abby from the new hit series.
