It's déjà vu time for Community fans: The show has been canceled, again.
Star Joel McHale shared the news in an interview with Metro Weekly, saying that all the actors' contracts had expired after six seasons and that their collective salary demands were beyond the show's budget.
"All the actors on the show, almost without exception -- their stock has risen significantly and it's out of the pay rate that is affordable to make the show," McHale said. "So you're not going to be able to get Alison Brie or Gillian Jacobs at a normal television salary anymore. There is just not enough money to be able to pay for the show."

Community aired for five seasons on NBC, until it was dropped by the network in 2014. It was then picked up by Yahoo!, which aired a sixth season earlier this year.
In a refrain Community fans know all too well, a Yahoo! spokesperson said the show may be able to continue in some form elsewhere... perhaps fulfilling its #sixseasonsandamovie prophecy. "We've seen tremendous value in our partnership with [Community's production company] Sony and are continuing to discuss future opportunities for Community," the spokesperson told TVGuide.com in a statement.
Creator Dan Harmon said earlier this summer he'd do a Community movie - but only after he's had some time to "miss" the show first. Looks like now's his chance!
