Get the details on her new role
She's gone country! Christina Aguilera has signed on to guest-star on ABC's music soap Nashville, reports People.
The Voice judge will play a major role in the second half of the season, starring as pop music superstar Jade St. John. Apparently, Jade loves, loves, loves country music and travels to Nashville to immerse herself in it.
Will The Voice ever produce a star?
It sounds like she will have a bit in common with Hayden Panettiere's Juliette Barnes, too. Like Juliette, Jade was the product of the machine. Her pop music has given her fame and fortune, but doesn't exactly leave a lot of room to grow and develop as an artist.
What do you think of Aguilera's casting?
Nashville airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on ABC.
