Captain America isn't dead, and neither is chivalry

Chris Evans has proven once again that he is the Best Chris, the Kindest Chris and the One Chris to Rule Them All.

During Sunday's 91st Academy Awards, the impeccably bearded actor channeled his inner Captain America, and by that we mean he revealed even more evidence to support the theory that he actually is Captain America, when he graciously acted as an usher to escort winner Regina King up the stairs so she could accept the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in If Beale Street Could Talk.

And the best part is, he stood up before King did because he is just that sweet and therefore he was there to help her when she began to walk to the stage.

He seemed to get pretty misty too when King emotionally honored her mother, who was her date and happened to be seated next to Evans, during her incredible acceptance speech.

The sweetness didn't end there. Jamie Lee Curtis tweeted at the Marvel star to praise him for his polite behavior, writing, "Hey @ChrisEvans you are a gentleman! #raisedwell," to which Evans responded, "That means a lot coming from my on-screen mom :)"

Curtis plays Evans' mother in the upcoming Rian Johnson film Knives Out. Not much is known about the film except that it's a modern murder mystery. And that Evans wears some really cute sweaters in it.

Of course, for those who've been paying attention, Sunday was not the first time Evans performed the role of courteous usher. In 2015, he escorted the legendary actress Betty White to the stage during the People's Choice Awards. I mean, look at this gentleman.

Evans' chivalrous ways easily made him one of the highlights of this year's Oscars. But his best moments didn't begin and end with his role as a surprise usher. Here he is celebrating Black Panther's win for Best Production Design before Jennifer Lopez could even read the winner out loud.

The dude supports his Marvel family through and through!

And, last but not least, here he is laughing just because I think you need a gif of Chris Evans laughing.
