Brown was originally sentenced to 1,440 hours, but because of the forged records, any service he might have actually already completed will no longer count. Brown also must now be supervised by Los Angeles County officials, whereas before he was allowed to complete service in his home state of Virginia. Brown has the option to choose between highway cleanup, beach cleanup, probation alternative work services or graffiti removal.

The setback comes one day after Brown's recent hit-and-run case was dismissed.

Brown's probation is set to end in August 2014.
