Chicago Med Mega Buzz: Is Goodwin Getting a Divorce?

We haven't seen much of Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) outside of the hospital on Chicago Med, but that's about to change.

TVGuide.com has learned that we're going to get a peek into Goodwin's home life on the Season 1 finale - and it won't be pretty.

Here's the deal: Goodwin's husband wants them to retire... together. "It comes to a head in the finale," Merkerson promises. "She's trying to convince him that she's not ready. ... She loves what she's doing, and there are some people who are just not ready to retire."

Her ultimate decision will "launch her in a new direction next season," showrunner Andrew Schneider tells TVGuide.com. Like a no-longer-married direction? "We're going to see a side of her that we haven't seen before," he teases.
