Channing Tatum is extremely close to exiting the standalone Gambit movie, according to TheWrap.

This does not bode well for the comic book film, which has long been a passion project for Tatum. Only few weeks ago, the actor appeared at Comic-Con to promote the film, which is slated for an Oct, 7, 2016 release. And Tatum had already begun practicing card tricks and trying to nail down Gambit's Cajun accent.

According to a source close to the production, Tatum's reps are still in discussions with 20th Century Fox, but they say "something is up." It's possible that even if Tatum walks from the leading role, he may still be involved in a producing capacity.

Do you think Gambit should move forward without Tatum?
