CBS Sets Premiere Dates for Training Day, Katherine Heigl's Doubt and More

Plus: When is The Amazing Race back?

Get ready for a lot of familiar faces and feelings on CBS in 2017.

The network announced its scheduling plans for Winter and Spring 2017 on Wednesday.

Ransom, a hostage negotiator procedural, will kick off the network's new midseason lineup on Sunday, Jan. 1 before moving to its regular time Saturdays at 8/7c on Jan. 7.

Training Day, a reboot of the Oscar-winning corrupt cop drama, premieres Thursday, Feb. 2 at 10/9c. Bill Paxton takes on the Denzel Washington role as the crooked veteran detective, with Justin Cornwell in the Ethan Hawke role as his idealistic young partner.

Katherine Heigl's new show Doubt will premiere Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 10/9c. The former Grey's Anatomy star plays an attorney who starts to fall for her client, who is accused of murdering his girlfriend 24 years prior.

Competition series Hunted premieres Sunday, Jan. 22 at 10/9c after the NFL's AFC Championship game, and moves to its regular Wednesday at 8/7c timeslot on Jan. 25. On Hunted, people will live as fugitives as they try to evade being captured by a team of elite investigators. Nine duos will compete for a $250,000 prize.

Returning series include Undercover Boss, which will return for an eighth season on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 8/7c; Survivor, which kicks off Season 34 on Wednesday, March 8 at 8/7c; and The Amazing Race, which returns on Friday, April 21 at 8/7c.

Premiere dates for Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders Season 2, as well as new comedy Superior Donuts will be announced at a later date.
