Is there a chance Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones won't get divorced? Douglas told Jay Leno last week that he was "hopeful" about possibly salvaging their 13-year marriage.

"I've been away for a while, but everything should hopefully be on the up and up," Douglas said during his appearance on The Tonight Show. "Sometimes people take a little bit of a break, but it doesn't necessarily mean that's the end. So I'm very hopeful."

Douglas, 69, and Zeta-Jones, 44, announced in August that they were separating, but not seeking a divorce. They've been married since 2000 and have two children together, ages 13 and 10.

At the time of their separation announcement, a source close to the couple said that Zeta-Jones' struggles with bipolar disorder and Douglas' battle with throat cancer(which was later revealed to actually be tongue cancer) were to blame for the strain on their marriage.
