Misery is coming to Castle Rock. The first teaser trailer for Season 2 of Stephen King and J.J. Abrams' Hulu drama was released on -- what else? -- Friday the 13th, giving fans a first look at Lizzy Caplan as a younger Annie Wilkes. Caplan takes on the role of the ankle-smashing nurse played by Oscar winner Kathy Bates in the movie Misery, while Elsie Fisher plays Wilkes' teenage daughter, Joy, who's starting to realize not all is well with her mother.
"Did you do something, Mom?" Joy asks in the trailer.
"Everything I do I do to protect you," Annie replies.
It's clear whatever Annie did "to protect" Joy will have far-reaching consequences. The official logline for the season teases that "a feud between warring clans comes to a boil when budding psychopath Annie Wilkes, Stephen King's nurse from hell, gets waylaid in Castle Rock."
